Heat that actually gets in

A hot water bottle warms the skin and then goes cold. This straps around the joint so the warmth is held against it, on the level you choose, for the whole twenty minutes — and it is still at that temperature at minute nineteen.

Hands free
Hands free

Nothing to hold, nothing to plug in

It runs on its own battery, so there is no cable across the room and no socket to sit next to. Strap it on and your hands are free — which is the whole difference between a treatment and a chore.

Inside the shell
Inside the shell

Deep red light, all the way round

A full ring of 660nm and 850nm LEDs sits against the joint rather than pointing at it from a distance. It is the part you cannot replicate with a hot water bottle, and the reason people keep it on the arm of the chair rather than in a cupboard.

How it works?

1

Strap it on

Sit down, wrap it round the knee, pull the two velcro straps until it sits snug. Either leg, over bare skin or a thin layer. It takes about ten seconds.

2

Pick your setting

One button for heat, one for the massage. Three levels each. Start on the lowest — most people end up on the middle one and stay there.

3

Sit for twenty minutes

Then it switches itself off. No timer to set, nothing to remember. Read, watch something, have your tea — you don't have to hold anything in place.

Made for the end of the day

The evening sit-down

The evening sit-down

You got through the day. Then you sat down, and the knee started talking. This is the twenty minutes that turns the evening around — and it happens in the chair you were already in.

If your current routine involves balancing something warm on your leg and not moving for half an hour, this is the same idea with the awkward part removed.

Frequently asked questions

Will it fit my knee?
This is the complaint people have about cheap ones, and it is worth answering straight. The two elastic straps adjust across a wide range, so it fits from a slim calf to a broad thigh. If it genuinely will not close on you, send it back inside sixty days — we would rather that than have it sit in a drawer.
Will it slide down while I'm sitting?
Not if you tighten both straps rather than just the top one — that is the mistake almost everyone makes on the first go. The shell is moulded to sit over the kneecap, so once the lower strap is snug it stays where you put it, including when you get up mid-session.
Is it actually hot, or just warm?
Level three is properly hot — hotter than most people use after the first week. Start on level one. The point of three levels is that the heat you want in January is not the heat you want in July, and unlike a hot water bottle it holds whichever one you picked for the full session.
Is the vibration noisy?
You can hear it in a silent room, and you cannot hear it over a television. If noise matters to you, run heat only — the two work independently, and plenty of people never touch the massage button.
How often do I have to charge it?
One full charge covers several sessions, and it charges over USB-C from the same cable as your phone. Most people plug it in once a week and never think about it again. It also works while charging, if you have forgotten.
